2. The check after power on

2.1 The check of RCU before power on
RCU is checked in the following procedure, before power on
1) Connect with the LAN port of PC for maintenance, and VDR-LAN port of
RCU by the LAN cable for maintenance.
2) Start up PC for maintenance, and start up the maintenance software.
3) Set up to “192.168.110.200” IP address of PC for maintenance.
2.2 The check of RCU after power on
RCU is checked in the following procedure, after power on
1) Check whether the VDR/S-VDR system starts up. (REC LED and CARD
LED on the internal operation panel light up.)
2) Receive the configuration data from RCU on the SYSTEM screen of
Maintenance software. Check that connection information of
VDR/S-VDR system on the SYSTEM screen is correct.
3) Start up a Diagnostic function on the SYSTEM screen.
Check that the result of diagnosis is displayed on the SYSTEM screen.
Each diagnosis lamp is colored to RED, GREEN or ORANGE.
4) Check the color of Entry lamp.
When the color of entry lamp is yellow, set the configuration data to
non-inputting items on Detail screen. (Ship’s name, IMO number, etc.)
If the life time of a battery and the
expiry date of FAN become
within one year, an error judging
will be carried out in a diagnostic
function.
2.3 The check of PCU after power on
PCU (RCU) is checked in the following procedure, after power on
1) Check in CB that power-supply voltage is less than DC24V –10% to
+10%.
2) Check that diagnosis lamp of VDR section on the SYSTEM screen of
Maintenance software is displayed as GREEN.
When the color is RED, open the system status window of VDR section.
Check that the initial error lamp is displayed as GREEN.
3) Check that all diagnosis lamp of Capsule section on the SYSTEM screen
of Maintenance software are displayed as GREEN.
(These lamps indicate state of communication to the capsule.)

If the life time of a battery of
underwater acoustic beacon unit
becomes within one year, an error
judging of capsule section will be
carried out in a diagnostic
function.
