4.2.6.3. Connectability of JRC RADAR Series
The Connectability of JRC RADAR equipment is tabulated as below. All the RADAR equipment
other than JMA-9900 / 9800mk2 needs an additional video buffer inside.
1) JMA-9900 / 9800mk2 series
Resolution 1024 x 768 pixel
Scan Non-interlaced
Color Color
Output Signal R / G / B / Vs / Hs
Connector D-SUB15
Vertical Refresh rate 60 Hz
Sync Impedance 75 ohms
Signal level +5.0 - 0V at 2.2k ohms termination
+2.5 - 0V at 75 ohms termination
Polarity Negative
Horizontal Frequency 48.36 kHz
Sync Impedance 75 ohms
Signal level +5.0 - 0V at 2.2k ohms termination
+2.5 - 0V at 75 ohms termination
Polarity Negative
Video Pixel frequency 125.000 MHz
signal Impedance 75 ohms
Signal level +0.7 - 0V
Polarity Positive
The type of its output connector, HD (3WAY), is different from that of the input connectors of the
VDR, BNC. A connection kit (CQD-1891) is therefore needed to connect them.
* JMA-9900 / 9800mk2 series Radar should be connected to the S-VDR
2) JMA-5300 series
Resolution 1280 x 1024 pixel
Scan Non-interlaced
Color Color
Output Signal R / G / B / Vs / Hs
Connector D-SUB15
Vertical Refresh rate 60 Hz
Sync Impedance 75 ohms
Signal level +5.0 - 0V at 2.2k ohms termination
+2.5 - 0V at 75 ohms termination
Polarity Positive
Horizontal Frequency 64.0kHz
Sync Impedance 75 ohms
Signal level +5.0 - 0V at 2.2k ohms termination
+2.5 - 0V at 75 ohms termination
Polarity Positive
Video Pixel frequency 108.000 MHz
signal Impedance 75 ohms
Signal level +0.7 - 0V
Polarity Positive
*To make the output to the VDR viable, please incorporate an amplifier (CAD-249), RGB cable
(CFQ-8914) and VDR connection kit (CQD-1891) into the RADAR equipment, using a kit
provided by JRC.
* JMA-5300 series Radar should be connected to the S-VDR
