4.6.3 Public Address function with an external speaker (option)
If an external speaker is connected, the Public Addresser (hereinafter the "PA") mode is available
to make an announcement over the external speaker. While the PA mode is in use, the received
voices are not recorded even if the squelch is opened.

Lift the handset from the cradle, and then from the
main menu, touch the [VOICE FUNC]→[PUBLIC
ADDR] buttons.
The PA mode starts and enabled to make an
announcement over the external speaker.
Press PTT key to talk.
To finish the PA mode and return to the status display,
replace the handset on-hook.
(Also, finish the PA mode and return to the previous
screen, touch the [FINISH] button.)
In this mode, pressing the PTT makes no transmission at all.
