4. PROCEDURES OF DISASSEMBING/ASSEMBLING AND CAUTIONS
(1) Adjusting and assembling of the gear box (large)
Procedures of disassembling/assembling
™ Loosen setscrews 1 and remove the gear
box large cover 6.
™ Centering the horizontal feed cam
1) Remove feed spring 7 . (Not
necessary for A-SR)
2) Loosen setscrew 3 in horizontal feed
cam rod 4.
3) Loosen setscrews 2 in the feed
adjuster cover and adjust so that
horizontal feed rod 4 can smoothly
move up or down. Then tighten
setscrews 2.
4) Turn the handwheel and tighten
setscrew 3 in horizontal feed cam
rod 4 while performing the centering
of the horizontal feed cam. (Check
that torque is even in the all ranges.)

(large) is 0.05 ± 0.01 mm.
