Commissioning of more smoke alarm devices with
radio links, connection mode and other setting up
of a radio group
1. Please commission every new smoke
alarm device with radio link close to
the installation position planned for
the device and select a sequence that
begins with the rooms adjacent to the
rst centrally positioned smoke alarm
device with radio link (master).
Continue with commissioning the
other smoke alarm devices with radio
links into the rooms that are adjacent
to the room in which a smoke alarm
device with radio link has already been
commissioned as described below, or
in a room which is adjacent to a room
that has the activated master device.
For activating every other smoke alarm
device with radio link to be linked to
this radio group, remove the black ac-
tivation fuse from the red activation
button rst (Illus. 1 point a).
Now press the red activation button
(Illus. 1 point a) of the device. This but-
ton must close when pressed with the
device‘s housing. A short audible signal
indicates that your smoke alarm device
with radio link is activated.
2. The installed radio LED now indicates
through a short yellow interval (Illus. 6
point b) that the device is looking for
a smoke alarm device with radio link
in which the master function is swit-
ched on.
Since all smoke alarm devices with ra-
dio links have a signal forwarding functi-
on (routing-repeating function), it is not
required for the smoke alarm device
with radio link to directly reach the
device with the master function activa-
