7 Maintenance
You can initiate the ’Descaling the machine’ operation manually.
Precondition: READY is displayed and the filter is not activated.
Open the cover of the Rotary Switch.
k T Keep the Rotary Switch pressed until RINSE appears.
k T Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item.
C CLEANING
g T Turn the Rotary Switch until DE-SCALE is displayed.
k T Press the Rotary Switch.
EMPTY TRAY
Close the cover of the Rotary Switch.
Continue with the second prompt to take action (indi-
cated by a T), as is described under ’Descaling following a
prompt’.
To ensure that the Easy Cappuccino Frother works perfectly, you
should rinse it with water whenever you have prepared some milk.
Your IMPRESSA will prompt you to rinse the Easy Cappuccino
Frother 10 minutes after you have prepared milk.
Precondition: CAPPUCCINO RINSE is displayed and the main-
tenance button c lights up.
Place a receptacle under the Easy Cappuccino Frother.
c T Press the maintenance button.
CAPPUCCINO RINSING, the frother is rinsed.
Preparation stops automatically. READY appears on the
display.
