6 Maintenance
To ensure that you get many years of reliable service out of your
IMPRESSA and to guarantee an optimum coffee quality, the machine
requires daily maintenance. Proceed as follows:

them with warm water.
Z Ri n se t h e wa t er t an k w i t h cl ean wa t er.
Z Dismantle and rinse t he dual spout (See Chapter 6 ‘Mainte-
nance – Dismantling and rinsing the dual spout’).
Z Wipe t he surface of t he machine wit h a damp clot h.
When the IMPRESSA is switched on, a prompt to perform a rinse
operation appears after heating, or this is automatically started.
When t he IMPRESSA is swit ched off, a rinse operat ion is aut omat i-
cally init iated.
In programming mode you can make a setting to stipulate whether
the switch-on rinse needs to be activated manually or whether it is
act ivated aut omat ically (see Chapt er 5 ‘Permanent set t ings in pro-
gramming mode – Switch-on rinse’).
