A defect i ve machine is not safe and could cause i nj ury or fire. To
avoid damage and any associat ed risk of injury or fire:
Z Never allow the power cable to t rail, as someone could t rip
over the power cable and/or it could get damaged.

as rain, frost and direct sunlight .
Z Do not put t he IMPRESSA, cable or connections in water.
Z Never put t he IMPRESSA or it s component s into t he dish-
washer.
Z Tu r n yo u r I M PRESSA o f f a t t h e p o w e r s wi t ch b e f o r e c l e an i n g
the machine. Always wipe your IMPRESSA with a damp cloth
rather than a wet one, and protect it from prolonged water
splash.
Z Do not set up the IMPRESSA anywhere where a jet of water
may be used.
Z Only connect t he machine t o a power supply in accordance
with the information on the rating plate. The rating plate is
located on the rear of your IMPRESSA. Further technical data
is given in Chapter 10 ‘Technical Data’.
Z Use only original JURA care product s. Use of accessories t hat
are not explicit ly recommended by JURA could damage t he
IMPRESSA.
Z Do not use any coffee beans treated with additives or carame-
lised coffee beans.
Z Only fill t he wat er t ank wit h fresh, cold wat er.
