ADJUSTING STEP
Item Test equipment ; Test points eet Adjustment procedure
BI voltage Voltmeter TP-B1 R038 (B1 adj) 1. Set power supply voltage to 90 V.
check Variable TP-E [Power PBW], 2. Set contrast and bright to minimum and produce
transformer a black screen.
3. Connect voltmeter between TP-B1 and TP-E.
Switch on power.
4. Adjust R038 (B1 adi) to set the Bt voltage to
85.0 + 0.2V.
5. Set the power supply voltage to 132 V.
6. Check for B1 voltage of 85.0 + 0.2 V.
7. Return the contrast and bright controls to the
detent positions.
High vottage | High voltage meter 1. Set the Ext Syne switch to Ext.
cheek Signal generator 2. Connect a synchronization signal to Ext Sync.

control.
4. Connect the high voltage meter to the anode
and check for 24.0 - 25.0 KV.
. Return the Ext Syne switch to Int,

[SERVICE MENU} | 1. At service menu, set 002 to 32.

Screen Oscilloscope TP-SC R313 (SCREEN) . Connect oscilloscope to TP-SC.
Signal generator [Deflection PWB] .. Adjust R313 (Screen) to set the screen voltage
(Color bar) fo 450 + 10 V.
Focus Signal generator - Adjust the Focus VR for optimum focus where
(Resolution pattern) moire is not apparent.
.. Darken the picture and and adjust the focus by
turning counter-clockwise from the position
where focus is poor.
3. Alternately repeat the above steps to obtain the
‘optimum position.

menu.

H frequency | Signal generator DO6(H SHIFT) 1, At the service menu, set DO6 to 32.
(Resolution pattern) [SERVICE MENU] | 2. Set $501 (H Free SW} to Free.
$501 3. Adjust screen syne with R603.(H Hold).
(H FREE SW) 4, Set S501 (H Free SW) to Normal.
R503(H HOLD) 5, Change the signal, then retum the previous
[Deflection PWB] signal. Confirm absence of sync disturbance.
H center ‘Signal generator DOG(H SHIFT) 1. At the service menu, set DOG to 32.
(NTSC) (Resolution pattern) [SERVICE MENU] | 2. Agjust R582 (H Phase) to align the picture
R582(H PHASE) center with the CRT center.
