Operations Using the
On-screen Bar
Basic operation procedures through the on-screen bar are as
follows:
Ex.: Selecting a subtitle (French) for DVD Video:
While a disc is selected as the source...
1 Display the on-screen bar with the pull-down menu.
2 Select (highlight) the item you want.
3 Display the pop-up window.
4 Select the desired option in the pop-up window.
5 Finish the setting.
To remove the on-screen bar
Time information
You can change the time information in the on-screen bar
and the display window on the main unit.
1 While playing, display the on-screen bar with the
pull-down menu.
2 Make sure is selected (highlighted).
3 Change the time indication.
Repeat Play
• See also page 20.
1 While playing a disc (without PBC for SVCD/VCD),
display the on-screen bar with the pull-down menu.
• Repeat play can be selected before starting playback,
not applicable for DVD Video.

3 Display the pop-up window.

While playing DVD-VR discs, “PG” or “PL” appears.

During Program Play or Random Play, “STEP”
appears.
Pop-up window disappears.

TOTAL Elapsed disc/title time.
T.REM Remaining disc time.
TIME
Elapsed playing time of the current chapter/
track (not applicable for DVD-VR).
REM Remaining time of the current chapter/
track (not applicable for DVD-VR).
ALL Repeats the disc (not applicable for
DVD Video).
A-B
Repeats a desired portion (see page 23).
TITLE
*1
Repeats the current title.
GROUP Repeats the current group.
CHAPTER
*2
Repeats the current chapter.
TRACK
*2
Repeats the current track.
OFF Cancels Repeat Play.
