Set tile Power Switch to "PRO.".
Press FAE repeatedly until tile desired mode's name
and indication appear.
They are displayed for approx. 2 seconds, then tile
name disappears so that only the indication remains.
The mode is activate(].
To cancel the effect, press P.AE repeatedly until "(-)FF"
Power Switch al)pears. "OFF" is displayed for approx. 2 seconds.
NOTES:

• The screen becomes slightly reddish wherl the Fade/
Wipe (_T* pg. 2d) is used irl the Sepia mode.
• The screen becomes slightly dark irl the High Speed
Shutter mode. Use in well-lit situations.
• In the "High 51Jeed Shutter" or "Sport_" modes, picture
color may be adversely affected if the subject is lit by
alternating discharge-type light sources such as
flourdscent or mercury-vapor light_.
[] SEPIA
Tile scene being shot is recorded in sepia-tinted
(reddish-brown) monochrome, giving tile effect of
an older movie. Use together with Wide (_-T_ pg. 23)
for the authentic look of a classic Hollywood
movie.
SPORTS
High shutter speed clearly captures fast-moving
action.
ND:ND EFFECT
A black mist darkens tile picture, as when an ND
filter is used. Helps to counter the effects of glare on
the subject.
FG:FOG
Makes the picture Iool< misty white, as when an
external fog filter is attached to tile lens. Softens the
image and gives it a "t\mtasy" look.
___ TWILIGHT
Dusk, twilight scenery, fireworl<s, etc., look more
natural and dramatic. The I_llowing happens when
Twilight mode is selected:
oAuto gain control is turned off.
• White Balance is set to "-10[_:FINE" (day mode),
but can also be manually changed to another
mode (zT* pg. 29).
oAuto Focus becomes available only in the range of
10 m (32 ft.) to infinity. To focus when the subject-
to-camera distance is less than 10 m (32 ft.), use
manual focusing (_-T_ pg. 28L
