during playbacl<. Factory-preset is Auto Tracl<ing.
To activate Manual Tracking:
1) Press RAE and EFFECT simultaneously. "MT" appears.
2) Press RAE or EFFECT as many times as necessary until
the noise bars disappear.
• To return to Auto Tracking, press P..AE and EFFECT
simultarleously. "AT" blinks. When Auto Tracl<ing
finishes, the indication disappears.
• When noise bar_ appear during playback, the
camcorder enter_ the Auto Trackin_ mode and "AT" is
displayed.
• Manual Tracking may riot work with tapes recorded on
other V(Rs or camcorder_.
TB¢ (Time Bose ¢ot|'ecto|'): Removesjitter from
fluctuating video signals to deliver a stable picture even
with old tapes. Factory-preset: TB( is engaged.
To activate/release the TB( mode, press RSTABILIZER
during playbacl< for more than 1 second. When the TB(
mode is activated, "TB(" is displayed.
• The "TBC" indicator tun-Is green (gray with a camcorder
equipped with a blackZwhite viewfincbr) while TBC is
w_*rl<ing.
• TBC cl_*es not work during still playback and shuttle
seaYLh,
• The "TBC" indicator turns white while TBC is not
_;perative.
• It may take a few seconds before TBC actually start_
worl<int4.
• The picture may be distorted if the TBC mode is
actiw_ted or deactivated at the edit-in/-out points or
wherl nom_al pbyback resumes after still pbyback or
shuttle search.
•_ If the playback picture is dist_;rted when TBC is set t_;
orb turn off TBC.
Counter Memory |:unction: Makes it easieR to
locate a specific tape segment.
1 ) Press COUNTER R/M and hold for more than 1 second.
The counter resets to "0:00:00".
2) Press COUNTER R/M k>r less than 1 second. "M"
appears.
3) After recording or playback, press I@, then ._41. The tape
automatically stops at or close to 0:00:00.
4) Press _/lll to start playback.

Rewind modes,
