1, Volume adjustment
This camera permits direct adjustment of the following
volumes without removing the camera body cover:
@ R305 FOCUS
2) ROGand ROS CARRIER BALANCE
@ R834 BRIGHTNESS EVE section)
@ Rs42 FOCUS
® R837 V. HEIGHT
® R841 H-HOLD
If any adjustments must be made, carefully follow the
procedures below. Do not change these volumes unless
absolutely necessary.
(1) Adjusting the CARRIER BALANCE and FOCUS
@ As shown in Fig. 1-2, the CARRIER BALANCE
VR can be adjusted from the bottom of the.
camera.
@__ As shown in Fig. 1-3, the FOCUS VR can be ad-
justed from the side of the camera.
(2) Adjusting the BRIGHTNESS, FOCUS, V. HEIGHT
and H. HOLD in the Electronic Viewfinder (EVF)
section,
@ Remove the EVF food.
@ As shown in Fig. 1-4, the BRIGHTNESS, FOCUS,
V. HIGHT and H. HOLD can be adjusted at the
bottom of the EVF section.
2. Camera settings made at the factory
This camera’s switches are preset at the factory as fol
tows:
D tris compensation switch ~ “0”
White batance button > "By" (IN DooR)
@® Focus switch > “AUTO”
@® Iris switch a "QQ"
“For the positions of other switches, refer to the related
instruction manuals.

3. STEREO/MONO Switch
This camera can be used in combination with a stereo
VCR(VTR) to record in stereo.
When using it with a MONO VCR(VTR), be sure to set
the STEREO/MONO switch to the MONO position.
If not, sound will only be recorded in the teft channel,
resulting in incomplete soundtrack.
4. VCR({VTR) compatibility switch
Even when the camera is connected to a VHS-type VCR
(VTR), the VCR(VTR) itself may have reversed stop
and start functions that require the camera’s preset
compatilitlity switch to be reset.
This problem is indicated by incoherent images in the
camera viewfinder.
If switch adjustment is necessary, please observe the
following procedures.
@_ Remove cover shown in Fig. 4-1 with a screwdriver.
@ Set switch shown in Fig. 4-2 for the type of VCR
(VTR) to be used.
