VPV
adapter
connection
A
VPV
(Videotext-Programmed
Video
recorder)
adapter
is
provided
with
the
HR-S5000EG.
By
connecting
this
adapter
to
the
rear
panel,
the
HR-SSOOOEG
permits
viewing
teletext
information
in
several
page
access
modes
and
lets
you
pro-
gramme
the
timer
or
adjust
the
clock,
automatically
or
manually,
using
the
on-screen
display.
Referred
to
as
VPV
functions,
all
necessary
information
regarding
the
additional
functions
is
included
in
a
handy
booklet
supplied together
with
this
instruction
manual.
Caution:
Before
connecting
or
disconnecting
the
VPV
adapter,
be
sure
to
turn
the
video
recorder’s
power
off.
To
use
VPV
functions,
first
connect
the
VPV
adapter
as
illustrated:
Insert
the
two
lower
hooks
of
the
adapter
into
the
fower
slots
of
the
recorder,
and
then
the
two
upper
hooks
into
the
upper
slots
while
squeezing
the
latches
together.
Insert
the

the
recorder’s

connector
and
the
8-pin
plug
into
the
recorder’s
Aerial

VPV
connector.
Once

the
recorder,
the

refers
to
