Symptoms Possible causes What to do
Wrong functions or short
range.
Batteries exhausted.
Obstacle in the way.
Dirty remote control sensor on TV.
Insert new batteries.
Remove any objects and aim from straight in
front of the remote sensor with a clear line of
sight.
Try to clean the remote control sensor lens on
the TV with a soft cloth.
Power
Symptoms Possible causes What to do
Television seems ‘dead’ - no
lights come on and nothing
works.
Mains supply missing.
Main power switch is off.
Blown fuse or circuit breaker.
Check the power switches on the television
and at the power outlet. Check power is
present at the outlet.
Check the fuse or circuit breaker at your main
fuse box. Look for a possible cause of failure
before you replace or re-set it.
Does not respond to remote
or local controls.
“Stuck” on stand-by.
Micro-controller confused by electrical
disturbance.
Switch off main power and wait ve minutes
before trying again. (Leave the TV unplugged
and call a service engineer if this does not
work.)
Does not respond to certain
controls on the TV or remote
control.
Channel, installation, child or keyboard
lock is switched on (if tted).
Please see relevant section of user
instruction.
No sound.
The volume is set to minimum.
The mute is switched on.
Make sure the headphones are not
connected.
Turn the volume up.
Press the mute button to release ‘mute’.
Disconnect headphones.
Picture is too dark, too light
or tinted.
Wrong colour adjustment in menu.
Wrong brightness adjustment in menu.
Adjust saturation in menu.
Adjust brightness in menu.
Picture is not clear. Antenna cable is not correctly connected. Connect antenna cable properly.
