The Audio selection display appears on the TV
screen.
• For Video CD
Each time you press AUDIO
- STROBE or CURSOR 2/3,
the playback audio changes
as follows.
To change the audio language or sound
[AUDIO]
By AUDIO selection, you can choose the audio
language of movies or choose to enjoy karaoke with or
without the vocal.

Press AUDIO - STROBE or CURSOR 2/3 to
select the desired audio.
• For DVD VIDEO
Each time you press AUDIO
- STROBE or CURSOR 2/3,
the audio language or
sound changes.

abbreviated on the TV screen. See “Appendix A: Table
of languages and their abbreviations” at the end of this
manual.
• The Audio selection display will automatically disappear
if you do not change the audio for 10 seconds.
• To turn off the Audio selection display manually, press
ENTER.
• When appears on the TV screen (for DVD VIDEO disc):
You cannot select the audio.

Changing the language and
sound
For DVD VIDEO discs, you can select the subtitle
language, as well as the audio language/sound
included on a disc.
For Video CD discs, you can select the audio channel(s).
To select the subtitle language [SUBTITLE]

Press SUBTITLE - DIGEST.
The Subtitle selection
display appears on the
TV screen.

To turn the subtitle on and off, press
SUBTITLE - DIGEST.

To select the desired subtitle language, press
CURSOR 2/3.
Each time you press
CURSOR 2/3, the
subtitle language
changes.
7 During DVD VIDEO playback
• For DVD VIDEO, the selected language may be
