1 About this document
This document describes the basic functions, mounting, installation, configuration, putting into
operation, and maintenance work associated with the Compact Readers MIFARE/LEGIC. By
consistently observing the instructions, you can ensure that the product is used correctly and safely.
The Compact Readers MIFARE/LEGIC are used in a wide range of Kaba system solutions. The
only differences are the particular firmware options for the corresponding applications. Given the
different firmware options, some individual functionality may differ.
The table below provides an overview of the different firmware options and the chapters they can
be found in.
