This document describes the Wireless Handset User Manual for the KDH231A device, an 11-key wireless handset designed for controlling an adjustable bed.
Function Description
The handset provides wireless control over various functions of an adjustable bed, including bed position adjustments, memory settings for preferred positions, and vibration modes. Each key on the handset is assigned a specific function, allowing users to customize their bed's settings.
Key Functions:
-
Key 1 (Flashlight Control):
- Press: Turns the flashlight on.
- Release: Turns the flashlight off.
-
Key 2 (Memory Position - Viewing):
- Long Press (3 seconds): Memorizes the current bed position as the "viewing" position. The backlight flashes 3 times, and the control box buzzes once to confirm. This overwrites any previously stored "viewing" position.
- Short Press (after memorizing): Moves the bed to the memorized "viewing" position.
-
Key 3 (Memory Position - BOOK):
- Long Press (3 seconds): Memorizes the current bed position as the "BOOK" position. The backlight flashes 3 times, and the control box buzzes once to confirm. This overwrites any previously stored "BOOK" position.

-
Key 8 (Push Rod 2 Retract):
- Long Press: Retracts push rod 2.
- Release: Stops the push rod 2 retraction.
-
Key 9 (Zero Gravity Mode / Memory Position):
- Short Press: Moves the push rod to a fixed "zero gravity" position.
- Long Press (3 seconds): Memorizes the current position as a custom memory position (overwriting previous memory). The backlight flashes 3 times quickly, and the control box beeps once.
- Short Press (after memorizing): Moves the fader (bed position) to the current memorized position.
-
Key 10 (Vibration Mode Selection):
- Short Press: Cycles through 4 different vibration modes. When the vibration motor starts, it begins with the default intermittent vibration at a slower frequency (first level). Subsequent presses gradually increase the cycle.
- First Gear: Slower frequency intermittent vibration.
- Second Gear: Faster frequency intermittent vibration.
- Third Gear: Fastest frequency intermittent vibration.
- Fourth Gear: Continuous vibration.
- Automatic Shut-off: If no operation to change the button occurs within 30 minutes, the vibration motor automatically turns off.
-
Key 11 (Memory Position - Current Push Rod):
- Long Press (about 3 seconds): The backlight flashes for 3 seconds and then stays on. The control box memorizes the current push rod position. Simultaneously, the buzzer buzzes once, and the backlight turns off.
