Do’s
• Always thaw frozen meat and
poultry before cooking.
• Use dry oven mitts when lifting the
removable cooking bowl after
cooking.
• Use tongs or the plastic spoon
provided to release the pressure
release valve - do not use your
fingers.
• Always store the Pressure Express
in a cool, dry place.
• Follow the cleaning guidelines
found in this booklet.
Don’t
• Do not operate without the
removable cooking bowl in position.
• Do not fill the bowl past the
maximum line.
• Do not use oil or milk as a liquid.
• Do not cook without at least 50ml
of liquid for every 200gram of food
content.
• Pack and store with the lid
resting upside down on the
removable cooking bowl in
a well ventilated area.
The Do’s and Don’ts of Pressure Cooking
Never
• Place water or other liquids into
the stainless steel base.
• Immerse base, cord, or plug of the
Pressure Express in water or any
other liquid.
• Touch hot surfaces with bare
hands.
• Deep fry in the Pressure Express
• Store your Pressure Express closed
with safety locking lid locked in
place to prevent aromas, moulds
and odours.
• Leave the Pressure Express on and
unattended.
• Use your fingers to move the
pressure release valve to ‘venting’
position to release steam after
pressure cooking.
