Power Supply
Power Adaptor
1. The unit requires DC 5V 1.2A.
2. Plug the supplied adaptor cable into the DC input socket of the unit and the other end
into a suitable wall socket.
3. Make sure that the output power of the wall outlet matches the required power of the
adaptor.
Note:
If not using the unit for a longer period of time, unplug the adaptor from the wall outlet
and from the unit.
Alarm Backup
In case of a power failure, your set alarms remain stored in the system. Once the power comes
back on, the unit will synchronize its time and date again (provided that DAB+ signal is avail-
able) and the alarm will sound as set.
Basic Functions
Switching the Unit On & Off
1. Power the unit as described above.
2. The unit is now in standby mode. To switch the unit on, press the / Mode button once.
Note: If the unit is switched on for the rst time, it will automatically be in DAB+ mode and
start scanning for available stations (see chapter “DAB+ Mode”).
3. To switch the unit off into standby mode, press the / Mode button once again.
Mode Selection (Switching Between DAB+ and FM)
With the unit switched on, press and hold for about 2 seconds the / Mode button to
switch between DAB+ and FM modes.
Volume Control
To adjust the volume while in DAB+ or FM mode, rst press the / Select button, followed by
• ▲Up button to increase the volume.
• ▼Down button to decrease the volume.
Display Backlight & Timeout Function
This unit is equipped with a dimmer function (High / Medium / Low) for the display backlight.
To change the backlight level the unit must be in standby mode.
Press the ▲Up button to increase the dimmer level.
Press the ▼Down button to decrease the dimmer level.
Note:
If set to Low or Medium level, the backlight will automatically switch to the High setting
when a button is pressed. To keep the backlight at the same setting when pressing a but-
ton, you need to turn off the “Timeout Function” as desrcibed in the following.
When the radio is switched on you can set a time (Timeout Function) after which the display
backlight should switch back from High setting to the one you set while in standby mode (Low
or Medium):
While in radio mode (DAB+ or FM) press and hold for 2 seconds the Info / Menu button
