Function Description:
The C-25 Control Panel primarily functions as a timer and safety device for Kasco aquatic equipment. It allows users to schedule the operation of their aerator/fountain and an associated light kit. The panel incorporates a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) to protect against electrical shock hazards, making it suitable for outdoor use. The timer can be set for automatic operation, or the unit can be set to run continuously. The light kit operation is controlled by both the timer and a photo eye, meaning lights will only turn on when both are activated.

Usage Features:
- Timer Control: The C-25 features a mechanical timer with 15-minute trippers. Users push trippers towards the outer ring to set activation times. Each tripper represents 15 minutes of operation. For optimal efficiency, it is recommended to set the timer in segments of one-hour activation time or greater (four trippers for a minimum of one hour runtime).
- Time Setting: The current time is set by turning the innermost clear dial clockwise until the correct time of day aligns with the "TIME NOW" arrow on the outermost dial. PM hours are indicated by a black line on the outer edge. Turning the inner dial slowly helps prevent damage to the timer.
- Operating Modes:
- AUTO Mode: In this mode, the aerator/fountain operates according to the set timer schedule. The light kit will only turn on if both the timer is active AND the photo eye detects darkness.
- ON Mode: Setting the ON/AUTO switch to "ON" will cause the aerator/fountain to run continuously, indefinitely. In this mode, the lights will still turn on/off based on the photo eye, provided the timer switch is set to ON.
- Light Kit Operation: The C-25 is designed to be used with Kasco Approved Lights ONLY. The lights are controlled by both the timer and a photo eye. For the lights to turn on, both the photo eye must be activated (i.e., it's dark enough) and the timer must be in an "ON" period. If either the photo eye or the timer is deactivated, the lights will turn off.
- Plug-and-Play: The aerator/fountain cord plugs into the right-hand outlet (labeled UNIT), and the light kit cord plugs into the left-hand outlet (labeled LIGHT).
- Enclosure Integrity: A closure plate is provided to maintain the 3R rating of the enclosure, ensuring environmental integrity after power cords are routed through the bottom hole. An additional slot can be broken out for the light kit cord.
Maintenance Features:
- GFCI Monthly Test: For maximum protection against electrical shock hazards, a monthly GFCI test procedure is recommended.
- Push the "TEST" button on the GFCI. The "RESET" button should pop out, and power to both outlets should be OFF. This can be verified by plugging in a test lamp (ensure the timer is in the ON position).
- If the GFCI tests correctly, restore power by firmly pushing the "RESET" button back in until it locks and remains depressed. The test lamp should illuminate if power is restored.
- WARNING: If the "RESET" button does not pop out, if the test lamp remains lit when the "TEST" button is pressed, or if the GFCI fails to reset properly, the C-25 should NOT be used, and a qualified service technician should be contacted.
- Safety Precautions:
- Always disconnect power before servicing the C-25 or the connected equipment.
- Never lift or move the control panel by the power cable, as this can damage the cable and compromise safety.
- The C-25 is designed for controlling equipment only and should not be used as a power disconnect. Unplug the C-25 and equipment before servicing.
- Under no circumstances should anyone enter the water when a unit is in operation.
- Warranty: Kasco Marine, Inc. warrants the C-25 to be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and service for two (2) years from the date of purchase. The customer is responsible for shipping charges. The warranty is void if the C-25 is damaged by unauthorized tampering or improper use. No warranty registration is required; only the original purchase receipt is needed for coverage.
