Basic Controls Overview

True Bypass Footswitch

Activates or deactivates the effect. A blue LED indicates when controls are active.

Compression Ratio Control

Sets the compression ratio, from 1:1 (no compression) to Infinity:1 (hard limiter).

Threshold Setting

Determines the signal level at which compression begins. Lower settings compress more often.

Gain Control (Output Level)

Adjusts the output volume to compensate for compression or provide a boost.

Threshold Indicator LED

Dual-color LED; green for no compression, red when compression is active.

Getting Started and Basic Setup

Setting the Threshold

Adjusts the signal level trigger for compression, observing the indicator for peak levels.

Setting the Compression Ratio

Determines gain reduction amount past threshold; higher ratios create more 'squish'.

Setting the Gain Control

Compensates for signal loss from compression or provides up to +20dB boost.

Attack and Release Times

Pedal features adaptive, program-dependent attack and release times.

Example Settings

Effective Leveler for Bass

Recommended for bass guitar and fingerpicking; evens out levels between notes.

Guitar Limiting Starting Point

Good for electric guitar limiting; adjust threshold based on instrument output.

Heavy Compression for Leads

Suitable for lead boosts or country styles; adjust threshold for desired effect.

Setting to Avoid

Demonstrates a setting causing over-compression, loss of dynamics, and noise.
