After downloading kcos-system_package.tar and uhd_package.tar, move them to /home/admin
using the scp command line tool with credentials admin/admin.

In the system, deploy (install, update, or downgrade) the components that are embedded in the
downloaded packages by using the CLI.
Use the following command to perform an offline software update:
l kcos deployment offline-install <package>: Installs, upgrades, or downgrades the
software components embedded in the package file that is provided.
Use this command to install the kcos-deployment-service-<version>.tar and uhd-<version>-
system-<version>.tar software packages in the following order:
i.
Download the two tarballs from the support website, and copy them to the admin shell.
ii.
Install the KCOS package using the command kcos deployment offline-install kcos-
deployment-service-<version>.tar.
iii.
Perform a control reboot of the box using the command kcos system reboot.
iv.
Install the UHD package using the command kcos deployment offline-install uhd-
<version>-system-<version>.tar.
Install licenses
This section describes the licensing requirements for Keysight Technologies software that use the
UHD100T32 test ports.
Before installing licenses
Before you install the licenses, set the time on the fixed chassis manually, as described in kcos date-
time date set on page39. Time discrepancies that are detected by UHD100T32 will invalidate the
licenses.
Licensing requirements
The software licensing requirements for the UHD100T32 fixed chassis are as follows:
For perpetual:
l Basic package for UHD100T32 (930-2230)
l Basic routing bundle for UHD100T32 (930-2231)
For Subscription:
l Base subscription (930-9511)
l Standard subscription (930-9512)
l Premium subscription (930-9513)
Verify that you have the required licenses and install them using the LICENSE MANAGER option in the
UHD web application shown as follows:
