The Blind-Spot Collisi
on Warning
(BCW) system may not detect
every object alongside the vehicle.
Setting and activating the BCW
The driver can activate the system
by placing the POWER button to the
ON position and by selecting:
䳜 Go t
o the 'User Settings → Driver
Assistance
→ Blind-Spot Safety'
on the LCD display.
䳜 The BCW
is
ready to be acti
-
vated when 'Active Assist' is
selected. Then, if a vehicle
approaches the driver's blind
spot area a warning sounds or
braking power is applied.
䳜 On
ly BCW turns on and is ready
to be
activated when 'Warning
Only' is selected. Then, if a vehi
-
cle approaches the driver's blind
spot area a warning sounds but
braking is not applied.
䳜 The
system is deactivated and
the indica
tor on the BCW but

ton is turned off when 'Off' is
selected.
䳜 If you press the BCW switch while
'Activ
e Assist' or 'Warning Only' is
selected the indicator on the but

ton will turn off and the system
will deactivate.
䳜 If you press the BCW switch while
the system is cancel
ed the indica

tor on the button illuminates and
the system activates. In this case,
the system returns to the state
before the vehicle was turned off.
When the system is initially

turned off then on again while the
system is in activation, the warn

ing light will illuminate for 3 sec
