Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning (RCCW)
If the system still does not operate
normally have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized Kia
dealer.
Turn off the BCW and RCCW system
when a trailer or carrier is installed.

deselecting 'User Se

Check Blind-Spot Collision Warning
(BCW) system
If there is a problem with the BCW
system, a warning message will
appear and the light on the switch
will turn off. The system will turn
off automatically. RCCW will not
operate also if the BCW system
turns off due to malfunction. Have
your vehicle inspected by an autho

rized Kia dealer.
Limitations of the RCCW
The driver must be cautious in the
below situations, because the sys

tem may not detect other vehicles
or objects in certain circumstances.

䳜 The vehicle drives in inclement

ather such as heavy rain or
snow.
䳜 The sensor is c

ered with rain,
snow, mud, etc.
䳜 The rear bumper where the sen

sor is located is covered with a
foreign object such as a bumper
sticker, a bumper guard, a bike
rack, etc.

e rear bumper is damaged, or
the
sensor is out of the original
default position.

he vehicle height gets lower or

igher due to heavy loading in a
trunk, abnormal tire pressure, etc.

en the temperature of the

ear bumper is high.
䳜 When the sensors are blocked by

r vehicles, walls or parking-
lot pillars.

he vehicle drives on a curved

d.
䳜 The road pavement (or the

ipheral ground) abnormally
contains metallic components (i.e.
possibly due to subway construc
