Infotainment system
僅 You cannot use the Over-The-Air soft

ware update feature if you modify or
replace any vehicle software.
僅 Do not open the hood or replace the
battery in the vehicle during the
update. The update may fail.
僅 Note that the high-voltage-related
module for charging the 12 V battery
may be activated during the software
update.
僅 If a diagnostic tool of any kind is con

nected to the vehicle OBD (On-board
Diagnostic) terminal, the vehicle can

not be updated. The vehicle can be
updated by removing the diagnostic
tool connected to the OBD terminal
and then restarting the vehicle.
僅 If the update is not complete success

fully, contact Kia.
僅 Vehicle reception must be identified
to safely install any downloaded soft

僅 Vehicle signal strength, must be

Shark fin antenna
The shark fin antenna transmits and
receives wireless signals such as AM/FM,
Sirius XM, global navigation satellite sys

tem (GNSS), etc
* The signals which antenna can transmit
and receive vary by vehicle option.
僅 Be careful of antenna damage by
checking the height of the vehicle
before entering low-ceiling spaces
such as a parking structure or auto

mated car wash.
僅 Be careful not to contact the antenna
when loading cargo on the roof rack.
