EV button
If the battery is weak or the smart key is
not working properly, check that the
shift lever is in the P(Park). position,
place the smart key on the key recogni
-
tion area located on the centre console,
and then press the EV button for about
10 seconds in the ACC state.
With the vehicle in the OFF position,
restart the vehicle.
When the stop lamp fuse is blown, you
cannot start the vehicle normally.
Replace the fuse with a new one. If it is
not possible, you can start the vehicle by
pressing the EV button for 10 seconds
while it is in the ACC position. The vehi
-
cle can start without pressing the brake
pedal. But for your safety always press
the brake pedal before starting the vehi
-
cle.
Do not press the EV button for more
than 10 seconds except when the stop
lamp fuse is blown.
Turning off the vehicle
1. Depress the brake pedal fully.
2. Shift to P (Park).
3. Apply the parking brake.
4. Press the EV button to turn the vehicle
off.
5. Make sure the
READY
indicator light
on the instrument cluster is turned off.
If the
READY
indicator light on the
instrument cluster is still on, the vehicle
is not turned off and can move when the
gear is in any position except P (Park).
