Smart regeneration system
Changing lanes
When a vehicle changes lanes ahead of
you, the smart regeneration system may
not immediately detect the vehicle,
especially if the vehicle changes lanes
abruptly. If necessary, depress the brake
pedal to reduce your driving speed in
order to maintain a safe distance.
Recognizing the vehicle
Some vehicles in your lane may not be
recognized by the sensor:
僅 Narrow vehicles such as motorcycles
or bicycles
僅 Vehicles offset to one side.
僅 Slow-moving vehicles or sudden-
decelerating vehicles
僅 Stopped vehicles
僅 Vehicles with small rear profiles-such
as trailers with no loads
A vehicle ahead cannot be recognized
correctly by the sensor if any of follow
-
ing occurs:
僅 When your vehicle is tilted upwards
due to an overloaded luggage com
-
partment
僅 While the steering wheel is operating
僅 When driving to one side of the lane
僅 When driving on narrow lanes or on
curves
Apply the brake or accelerator pedal if
necessary.
When using the Smart Regeneration
System take the following precautions:
僅 If an emergency stop is necessary,
you must apply the brakes.
僅 Keep a safe distance according to
road conditions and vehicle speed. If
vehicle distance is too close during
high-speed driving, a serious collision
may result.
僅 Always maintain sufficient braking
distance and decelerate your vehicle
by applying the brakes if necessary.
僅 The Smart Regeneration System is
designed to detect and monitor a
vehicle ahead through radar signals. It
is not designed to detect oncoming
vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, motor
-
cycles, or smaller wheeled objects
such as luggage bags, shopping carts,
or strollers.
僅 Vehicles moving ahead with frequent
lane changes may cause a delay in
the system's reaction time or may
cause the system to react to a vehicle
in an adjacent lane. Always drive cau
-
tiously to prevent unexpected and
sudden situations from occurring.

not recognize complex driving situa

tions so always pay attention to driv

ing conditions and control your
vehicle speed.
