With the vehicle on, select Settings > Vehicle > Driver assistance > Driving safety >
Safe exit on the infotainment system.
WARNING
The driver should always be aware of his or her surroundings. If Exit Safety is dese
lected, Safe Exit Assist cannot assist you.
CAUTION
When the trailer is connected, Safe Exit Assist automatically turns off (if equipped). In
this case, you cannot get help from Safe Exit Assist. Always drive with care.
NOTE
If the vehicle is restarted, Safe Exit Assist will maintain the last setting.
