What to do in an emergency
WARNING
• Do not let the compressor run for more than 10 minutes, otherwise the device will
overheat and may be damaged.
• The tyre pressure must meet the specified pressure (refer to the "Tyres and Wheels"
section on page 8-3). If not, immediately stop driving and visit an authorised Kia
dealer/service partner or call for road side service or towing.
CAUTION
• If the inflation pressure is not maintained, drive the vehicle a second time, refer to
"Distributing the sealant" on page 732 .
• The TMK may not cover tyre punctures larger than approximately 4 mm. In this
case, we recommend visiting an authorised Kia dealer/service partner.
• We recommend that you contact a professional workshop if the tyre cannot be
made roadworthy with the Tyre Mobility Kit.
NOTE
When reinstalling the repaired or replaced tyre and wheel on the vehicle, tighten the
wheel lug nut to 11~13 kgf·m (79~94 lbf·ft).
Safe use of Tyre Mobility Kit
• Use the TMK in a safe location away from the road. Install the warning triangle to
alert others for road safety.
• Use the kit on a sturdy and flat surface and make sure to immobilize the vehicle. En
gage the electronic parking brake (EPB)
• The TMK should only be used on specified/designated vehicles. Do not use it on
other types of tyres, such as bicycle or motorcycle tyres.
• If sharp objects like nails or screws are stuck in the tyre, do not arbitrarily attempt to
remove them- they can penetrate deeper into the tyre. Instead, visit an authorised
Kia dealer/service partner for inspection.
• Read and understand the instructions provided on the sealant bottle prior to using
the TMK.
• Ensure to turn on the vehicle when using the kit. Failure to do so may result in bat
tery discharge as the compressor uses the vehicle battery for its operation.
• Do not leave the TMK unattended whilst it is being used.
• Do not run the compressor for more than 10 minutes; it may overheat.
• Do not use the Tyre Mobility Kit if the ambient temperature is approximately -30°C
(-22°F) or below
• Do not use the Tyre Mobility Kit if the tyre and wheel are damaged.
• Keep the Tyre Mobility Kit out of the reach of children.
