Safe Exit Warning
With the ignition switch or the ENGINE
START/STOP button in the ON position,
and select 'User Settings (LCD display)
or Settings → Vehicle (Infotainment Sys

tem screen) → Driver Assistance →
Blind-Spot Safety → Safe Exit Warning'
to turn on Safe Exit Warning and dese
-
lect to turn off the function.
The driver should always be aware of his
or her surroundings. If 'Safe Exit Warn
-
ing' is deselected, the function cannot
assist you.
If the engine is restarted, Safe Exit Warn
-
ing will maintain the last setting.
Warning Volume
With the ignition switch or ENGINE
START/STOP button in the ON position,
and select 'User Settings (LCD display)
or Settings → Vehicle (Infotainment Sys

tem screen) → Driver Assistance →
Warning Volume' to change the Warning
Volume to 'High', 'Medium' or 'Low' for
Safe Exit Warning.
If you change the Warning Volume, the
Warning Volume of other Driver Assis
-
tance systems may change.
The setting of the Warning Volume
applies to all functions of Safe Exit
Warning.
