Features of your vehicle Lighting
To operate the lights, turn the knob at
the end of the control lever to one of the
following positions:
1. OFF position
2. Auto light position
3. Position & Taillamp
4. Headlamp position
Auto head lamp (OFF position)
The lights turn on or off depending on
the amount of daylight detected from
the sensor when the parking brake is not
activated or vehicle speed is above 5
km/h (3 mph).
Activating the parking brake when the
vehicle speed is less than 5 km/h (3
mph) turns the headlamps off automati
-
cally by the amount of daylight detected
from the sensor.
AUTO headlamp position
The parking lamp and headlamp will be
turned ON or OFF automatically
depending on the amount of daylight as
measured by the ambient light sensor
on the center dashboard.
NOTICE
Even with the AUTO headlamp feature
in operation, it is recommended to man
-
ually turn ON the headlamps when driv
-
ing at night or in a fog, driving in the
rain, or when you enter dark areas, such
as tunnels and parking facilities.
Do not cover or spill anything on the
sensor located in front of the instru
-
ment panel.
Do not clean the sensor using a win
-
dow cleaner, the cleanser may leave a
light film which could interfere with
sensor operation.
If your vehicle has window tint or
other types of metallic coating on the
front windshield, the AUTO headlamp
system may not work properly.
