Features of your vehicle Safe Exit Warning (SEW)
WARNING
僅 For your safety, change the Settings
after parking the vehicle at a safe
location.
僅 If any other function's warning mes -
sage is displayed or audible warning
is generated, Safe Exit Warning mes -
sage may not be displayed and audi -
ble warning may not be generated.
僅 You may not hear the warning sound
of Safe Exit Warning if the surround -
ing is noisy.
僅 Safe Exit Warning does not operate in
all situations or cannot prevent all col -
lisions.
僅 Safe Exit Warning may warn the
driver late or may not warn the driver
depending on the road and driving
conditions. Always check vehicle sur -
roundings.
僅 The driver and passengers are
responsible for accidents that occurs
whilst exiting the vehicle. Always
check the surroundings before you
exit the vehicle.
NOTICE
僅 After the engine is turned off, Safe
Exit Warning operates approximately
for 3 minutes, but turns off immedi -
ately if the doors are locked.
僅 Images or colours may be displayed
differently depends on the instrument
cluster specifications or theme.

Safe Exit Warning malfunction
When Safe Exit Warning is not working
properly, the warning message will
appear on the cluster, and the master
warning light ( ) will appear on the
cluster. Have Safe Exit Warning be
inspected by a professional workshop.

Kia dealer/service partner.
When the outside rear view mirror warn -
ing light is not working properly, the
warning message will appear on the
cluster for several seconds, and the
master warning light ( ) will appear on
