4. Do not wait for the engine to warm up
whilst the vehicle remains stationary.
Start driving at moderate engine
speeds. (Steep accelerating and

Stopping the engine (Manual
Transmission)
1. Make sure the vehicle is completely
stopped and keep the clutch pedal
and brake pedal depressed.
2. Shift the transmission into Neutral
whilst depressing the clutch pedal and
brake pedal.
3. Engage the parking brake whilst
depressing the brake pedal.
4. Turn the ignition key to the LOCK
position and remove it.

Illuminated ENGINE START/STOP

The light will go off after about 30 sec -
onds when the door is closed. It will also
go off immediately when the theft-alarm
system is armed.

With manual transmission
To turn off the engine (START/RUN posi -
tion) or vehicle power (ON position), stop
the vehicle then press the ENGINE
START/STOP button.
With automatic transmission/
Intelligent variable transmission
To turn off the engine (START/RUN posi -
tion) or vehicle power (ON position),
press the ENGINE START/STOP button
with the shift lever in the P (Park) posi

tion. When you press the ENGINE
