Manual transmission
1. Check the tyre pressures recom
-
mended for your vehicle.
2. Place the front wheels on the roll tes
-
ter (1) for a speedometer test as
shown in the illustration.
3. Release the parking brake.
4. Place the rear wheels on the tempo
-
rary free roller (2) as shown in the
illustration.
WARNING
Dynamometer testing
Keep away from the front of the vehicle
whilst the vehicle is in gear on the dyna
-
mometer. This is very dangerous as the
vehicle can jump forward and cause
serious injury or death.
CAUTION
When lifting up the vehicle, do not
operate front and rear wheel sepa
-
rately. All four wheels should be oper
-
ated.
If you need to operate the front wheel
and rear wheel when lifting up the
vehicle, you should release the park
-
ing brake.
Manual transmission (if
equipped)
The manual transmission has 6 forward
gears.
Manual transmission operation
The shift lever can be moved with
-
out pulling the button (1).
The button (1) should be pressed
when moving the shift lever into reverse.
This shift pattern is imprinted on the
shift knob. The transmission is fully syn
-
chronized in all forward gears so shifting
to either a higher or a lower gear is eas
-
ily accomplished.
Depress the clutch pedal down fully
whilst shifting, then release it slowly.
If your vehicle is equipped with an igni
-
tion lock switch, the engine will not start
when starting the engine without
depressing the clutch pedal. (if
equipped)
The shift lever must be returned to the
neutral position before shifting into R
(Reverse).
Push the button located immediately
below the shift knob and pull the gear
-
shift lever to the left sufficiently, and
then shift into reverse (R) gear position.
