Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)
僅 Even though the steering is assisted
by Lane Keeping Assist, the driver
may control the steering wheel.
僅 The steering wheel may feel heavier
or lighter when the steering wheel is
assisted by Lane Keeping Assist than
when it is not.

tor light will illuminate on the cluster. If
this occurs, have the function checked
by a professional workshop. Kia recom

mends to visit an authorised Kia dealer/
service partner.
Limitations of Lane Keeping
Assist
Lane Keeping Assist may not operate
properly or may operate unexpectedly
under the following circumstances:
僅 The lane is contaminated or difficult
to detect because,
- The lane markings (or road edges)
are covered with rain, snow, dirt, oil,
etc.
- The colour of the lane markings (or
road edges) is not distinguishable
from the road
- There are markings (or road edges)
on the road near the lane or the
markings on the road look similar
to the lane markings (or road
edges)
- The lane markings (or road edges)
is indistinct or damaged
- The shadow is on the lane mark
-
ings (or road edges) by a median
strip, trees, guardrail, noise barriers,
etc.
僅 There are more than two lane mark
-
ings (or road edges) on the road
僅 The lane number increases or
decreases, or the lane markings (or
road edges) are crossing
僅 The lane markings (or road edges) are
complicated or a structure substitutes
for the lines, such as a construction
area
僅 There are road markings (or road
edges), such as zigzag lanes, cross
-
walk markings and road signs
僅 The lane suddenly disappears, such
as at the intersection
僅 The lane (or road width) is very wide
or narrow
僅 There is a road edge without a lane
僅 There is a boundary structure in the
roadway, such as a tollgate, sidewalk,
kerb, etc.
僅 The distance to the front vehicle is
extremely short or the vehicle in front
is covering the lane markings (or road
edges)
