What to do in an emergency If you have a flat tyre (with spare tyre)
place off the road, call a towing ser
-
vice company for assistance.
Be sure to use the correct front and
rear jacking positions on the vehicle;
never use the bumpers or any other
part of the vehicle for jacking support.
The vehicle can easily roll off the jack
causing serious injury or death.
Do not get under a vehicle that is sup
-
ported by a jack.
Do not start or run the engine whilst
the vehicle is on the jack.
Do not allow anyone to remain in the
vehicle whilst it is on the jack.
Make sure any children present are in
a secure place away from the road
and from the vehicle to be raised with
the jack.
Removing and storing the spare
tyre
Turn the tyre hold-down wing bolt coun
-
terclockwise to remove.
Store the tyre in the reverse order of
removal.
To prevent the spare tyre and tools from
"rattling" whilst the vehicle is in motion,
store them properly.
WARNING
Ensure the spare tyre retainer is properly
aligned with the centre of the spare tyre
to prevent the spare tyre from "rattling".
Otherwise, it may cause the spare tyre to
fall off the carrier and lead to an acci
-
dent.
Changing tyres
1. Park on a level surface and apply the
parking brake firmly.
2. Move the shift lever into R (Reverse)
with Manual Transmission or P (Park)
with Automatic Transmission/Intelli
-
gent Variable Transmission.
3. Activate the hazard warning flasher.
4. Remove the wheel lug nut wrench,
jack, jack handle, and spare tyre from
