Features of your vehicle Remote keyless entry
Lock (1)
All doors are locked if the lock button is
pressed whilst all doors are closed.
The hazard warning lights will blink once
to indicate that all doors are locked.
However, if any door, engine bonnet or
tailgate remains open, the hazard warn
-
ing lights will not operate. If all doors,
engine bonnet and tailgate are closed
after the lock button is pressed, the haz
-
ard warning lights will blink once.
Unlock (2)
All doors are unlocked if the unlock but
-
ton is pressed.
The hazard warning lights will blink
twice to indicate that all doors are
unlocked.
After pressing this button, the doors will
lock automatically unless you open any
door within 30 seconds.
Tailgate unlock (3) (for non-
power tailgate)
If you press this button for longer than a
second, the lock will be released.
Once the tailgate is opened and then
closed, the tailgate will lock automati
-
cally when all doors are locked.
Tailgate open/close (3) (for
power tailgate, if equipped)
If you press this button for longer than a
second the tailgate will be opened.
When the power tailgate is opened,
press and hold the power tailgate open/
close button to close the tailgate. If you
release the button whilst the tailgate is
closing, power tailgate operation will
stop with a warning sound for 5 sec
-
onds.
Once the tailgate is opened and then
closed, the tailgate will lock automati
-
cally when all doors are locked.
Remote start (4) (if equipped)
You can start the vehicle using the
remote start button of the smart key.
To start the vehicle remotely:
僅 Lock the doors by pressing the door
lock button (1) within 10 m (32 feet)
distance from the vehicle.
僅 Press the remote start button for over
2 seconds within 4 seconds after lock
-
ing the doors.
Press the remote start button once to
turn off the vehicle.
If no further action for operating/driving
the vehicle is taken, the vehicle will be
turned off 10 minutes after starting the
vehicle remotely.
Transmitter precautions
The transmitter will not work if any of
the following occurs:
僅 The ignition key is in the ignition
switch.
僅 You exceed the operating distance
limit (about 10 m [30 feet]).
僅 The battery in the transmitter is weak.
僅 Other vehicles or objects may be
blocking the signal.
僅 The weather is extremely cold.
僅 The transmitter is close to a radio
transmitter such as a radio station or
an airport which can interfere with
normal operation of the transmitter.
