僅 The Smart key is placed near the Elec

tronics system(Woofer, Mobile phone,
Portable wired/Wireless charger, Elec

tric heating device, Electronic power
bank, e cigarettes, etc..
僅 When you connect an external device
to the multi purpose socket or USB
port and place it near the Smart key,
the Smart key may not be recognized/
work in some areas of the vehicle. In
this case, try moving the Smart key to
another location to start the engine or
press the start button directly with the
smart key to start the engine
僅 Tinting the vehicle windows with film,
especially metalized film, may inter
-
fere with receiving frequency trans -
mitted by the smart key, reducing its
operating range.
Immobiliser system
Your vehicle may be equipped with an
electronic engine immobiliser system to
reduce the risk of unauthorised vehicle
use.
Your immobiliser system is comprised of
a small transponder in the ignition key
and electronic devices inside the vehicle.
Vehicles without smart key sys -
tem
With the immobiliser system, whenever
you insert your ignition key into the igni
-
tion switch and turn it to ON, it checks
and determines and verifies if the igni
-
tion key is valid or not.
If the key is valid, the engine will start.
If the key is invalid, the engine will not
start.
To deactivate the immobiliser
system:
Insert the ignition key into the key cylin -
der and turn it to the ON position.
To activate the immobiliser sys -
tem:
Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
The immobiliser system activates auto
-
matically. Without a valid ignition key for
your vehicle, the engine will not start.
Vehicles with smart key system
Whenever the ENGINE START/STOP
buttons are changed to the ON position,
the immobiliser system checks and veri
-
fies if the key is valid or not.
If the key is valid, the engine will start.
If the key is invalid, the engine will not
start.
To deactivate the immobiliser
system
Change the ENGINE START/STOP but -
ton to the ON position.
To activate the immobiliser sys -
tem
Change the ENGINE START/STOP but -
ton to the OFF position. The immobiliser
system activates automatically. Without
a valid smart key for your vehicle, the
engine will not start.
