Inside rearview mirror
Adjust the rearview mirror so that the
centre view through the rear window is
seen. Make this adjustment before you
start driving.
Rear visibility
Do not place objects in the rear seat or
cargo area which would interfere with
your vision through the rear window.
Do not adjust the rearview mirror whilst
the vehicle is moving. This could result in
loss of control, and an accident which
could cause death, serious injury or
property damage.
Do not modify the inside mirror and
don’t install a wide mirror. It could result
in injury, during an accident or deploy
-
ment of the air bag.
Electrochromic mirror (ECM)
Some vehicles come equipped with an
electrochromic mirror that helps control
glare whilst driving at night or under low
light driving conditions.
When the engine is running, the glare is
automatically controlled by the sensor
mounted in the rearview mirror.
The sensor detects the light level around
the vehicle, and automatically adjusts to
control the headlamp glare from vehi

cles behind you.
Whenever the gear is shifted to R
(Reverse), the mirror will automatically
go to the brightest setting in order to
improve the driver’s view behind the
vehicle.
When cleaning the mirror, use a paper
towel or similar material dampened with
glass cleaner. Do not spray glass cleaner
directly on the mirror. It may cause the
liquid cleaner to enter the mirror hous
-
ing.
Outside rearview mirror
Be sure to adjust the mirror angles
before driving.
