• Thedualclutchtransmission
adoptsadry-typedualclutch,
whichisdifferentfromthetorque
converteroftheautomatic
transmission.Itshowsbetter
accelerationperformanceand
increasedfuelefficiencywhile
drivingbutinitiallaunchmightbe
littlebitslowerthantheautomatic
transmission.
Asaresult,gearshiftsare
sometimesmorenoticeable
thanaconventionalautomatic
transmissionandalightvibration
duringlaunchingcanbefeltasthe
transmissionspeedismatched
withtheenginespeed.Thisisa
normalconditionofthedualclutch
transmission.
• Thedry-typeclutchtransfers
torquemoredirectlyandprovides
adirectdrivefeelingwhichmay
feeldifferentfromaconventional
automatictransmissionwitha
torqueconverter.Thismaybe
morenoticeablewhenlaunching
thevehiclefromastoporwhen
travelingatlow,stop-and-go
vehiclespeeds.
• Whenrapidlyacceleratingatalow
vehiclespeed,theenginerpmmay
increasehighlydependingonthe
vehicle’sdrivingcondition.
• Forsmoothlaunchuphill,press
downtheacceleratorpedal
smoothlydependingonthe
currentconditions.
• Ifyoureleaseyourfootfromthe
acceleratorpedalatlowvehicle
speed,youmayfeelstrongengine
braking,whichissimilartomanual
transmission.
• Whendrivingdownhill,youmay
useSportsModeorpressthe
paddleshifters(ifequipped)to
downshifttoalowergearinorder
tocontrolyourspeedwithout
usingthebrakepedalexcessively.
• Whenyouturntheengineonand
off,youmayhearclickingsounds
asthesystemgoesthroughaself
test.Thisisanormalsoundfor
theDualClutchTransmission.
• Duringthefirst1,500km(1,000
miles),youmayfeelthatthe
vehiclemaynotbesmooth
whenacceleratingatlowspeed.
Duringthisbreak-inperiod,the
shiftqualityandperformanceof
yournewvehicleiscontinuously
optimized.
