for2seconds.Thedrivershouldbe
carefulfromtherollingbackward
causingtheaccidentwithbehind
objectsorhuman,whenthedriver
mayfeeltheunintendedrolling
backwardwhiledrivingoffonhilldue
toinsufficientbrakeholdpressure
built-upbydriverduringstopping
procedure.

Vehicle stability management
(VSM)
Thissystemprovidesfurther
enhancementstovehiclestability
andsteeringresponseswhena
vehicleisdrivingonaslipperyroad
oravehicledetectedchangesin
coefficientoffrictionbetween
rightwheelsandleftwheelswhen
braking.
VSM operation
WhentheVSMisinoperation,ESC
indicatorlight( )blinks.
Whenthevehiclestability
managementisoperatingproperly,
youcanfeelaslightpulsationinthe
vehicle.Thisisonlytheeffectof
brakecontrolandindicatesnothing
unusual.
The VSM does not operate when:
• Drivingonbankroadsuchas
gradientorincline
• Drivingrearward
• ESCOFFindicatorlight( )
remainsontheinstrumentcluster
• EPSindicatorlightremainsonthe
instrumentcluster
VSM operation off
IfyoupresstheESCOFFbuttonto
turnofftheESC,theVSMwillalso
cancelandtheESCOFFindicator
light( )illuminates.
