PleasenotethattheTPMSis
notasubstituteforpropertire
maintenance,anditisthedriver’s
responsibilitytomaintaincorrect
tirepressure,evenifunder-inflation
hasnotreachedtheleveltotrigger
illuminationoftheTPMSlowtire
pressuretelltale.
Yourvehiclehasalsobeenequipped
withaTPMSmalfunctionindicator
toindicatewhenthesystemis
notoperatingproperly.TheTPMS
malfunctionindicatoriscombined
withthelowtirepressuretelltale.
Whenthesystemdetectsa
malfunction,thetelltalewillflashfor
approximately1minuteandthen
remaincontinuouslyilluminated.
Thissequencewillcontinueupon
subsequentvehiclestart-upsaslong
asthemalfunctionexists.When
theTPMSmalfunctionindicator
remainsilluminatedafterblinkingfor
approximately1minute,thesystem
maynotbeabletodetectorsignal
lowtirepressureasintended.
TPMSmalfunctionsmayoccur
foravarietyofreasons,including
theinstallationofreplacementor
alternatetiresorwheelsonthe
vehiclethatpreventtheTPMSfrom
functioningproperly.Alwayscheck
theTPMSmalfunctiontelltaleafter
replacingoneormoretiresorwheels
onyourvehicletoensurethatthe
replacementoralternatetiresand
wheelsallowtheTPMStocontinue
tofunctionproperly.
