Thesealantonthetirepressure
sensorandwheelshallbe
eleminatedwhenyoureplacethe
tirewithanewone.
Eachwheelisequippedwithatire
pressuresensormountedinsidethe
tirebehindthevalvestem.Youmust
useTPMSspecificwheels.Have
yourtiresservicedbyaprofessional
workshop.Kiarecommendstovisit
anauthorizedKiadealer/service
partner.
Ifyoudrivethevehicleforabout10
minutesatspeedsabove25km/h
afterreplaceingthelowpressure
tirewiththesparetire,oneofthe
followingwillhappen:
• TheTPMSmalfunctionindicator
mayblinkforapproximately
1minuteandthenremain
continuouslyilluminatedbecause
theTPMSsensorisnotmounted
onthesparewheel.(changedtire
equippedwithasensornotinthe
vehicle)
• TheTPMSmalfunctionindicator
willremaincontinuously
illuminatedwhiledrivingbecause
theTPMSsensorisnotmounted
onthesparewheel.(changedtire
equippedwithasensorinthe
vehicle)
Youmaynotbeabletoidentify
alowtirebysimplylookingatit.
Alwaysuseagoodqualitytire
pressuregaugetomeasurethe
tire’sinflationpressure.Pleasenote
thatatirethatishot(frombeing
driven)willhaveahigherpressure
measurementthanatirethatiscold
(fromsittingstationaryforatleast
3hoursanddrivenlessthan1mile
(1.6km)duringthat3hourperiod).
Allowthetiretocoolbefore
measuringtheinflationpressure.
Alwaysbesurethetireiscoldbefore
inflatingtotherecommended
pressure.
Acoldtiremeansthevehiclehas
beensittingfor3hoursanddriven
forlessthan1mile(1.6km)inthat
3hourperiod.
