5.AfterresettingtheTPMS,drive
thevehicleforapproximately20
minutestostorethenewtire
pressureinthesystem.

turnsonrepeatstep3.
WhenresettingTPMS,thecurrent
tirepressureisstoredasastandard
tirepressure.
CAUTION
• Withoutinflatingthetires,ifyou
resetTPMS,thesystemmay
notinformyouproperlyeven
thoughthetiresaresignificantly
underinflated.Youmustcheck
thepropertirepressurebefore
resettingTPMS.
• TheTPMSmaynotfunction
properlyifyoudonotresetTPMS
althoughtheTPMSneedstobe
reset.
• IfyoupushtheTPMSresetbutton
whiledriving,theTPMSreset
processisnotactivated.Youmust
pushtheTPMSresetbuttonwhile
thevehicleisatacompletestop.
• Tirepressureshouldbechecked
andinflatedwhilethetiresare
cold.
Acoldtiremeansthevehiclehas
beensittingfor3hoursanddriven
forlessthan1.6km(1mile)in
that3hourperiod.

theinflationpressurerecommended
bythevehiclemanufactureron
thevehicleplacardortireinflation
pressurelabel.(Ifyourvehiclehas

sizeindicatedonthevehicleplacard
ortireinflationpressurelabel,you
shoulddeterminethepropertire
inflationpressureforthosetires.).
