Pre-Delivery Towing
Weights
Every unit we build is slightly different in some way based on the options chosen by our customers - so the
most accurate way of measuring weights is to perform the following:
1. Load the unit with the following; full water tanks, 2x jerry cans full of fuel and full gas cylinders, plus any
canvas awnings
2. Record the total weight of the unit not attached to the vehicle standing with jockey-wheel down (A)
3. Record the weight of the unit when attached to the vehicle (B) (with trailer wheels only on weighbridge)
4. Calculate the towball weight by subtracting B from A
5. Load your Kimberley as you intend for your trip and repeat the above process to ensure you do not exceed
Towball weight for your vehicle and ATM / GVWR for your Kimberley.
Initial Loading Weights Trip Loading Weights
Total KK Weight - (A)
(jockey wheel down - no tow tow vehicle support)
Axle Weight - (B)
(KK attached to tow vehicle, KK wheels only on
weighbridge)
Towball Weight - (C)
NOTE: Total Weight limit ATM / GVWR varies by model.
Towball weight - Kimberley reccommends approx. 10-15% of Total trailer Weight.
WiTi offers a revolutionary anti-theft system and is
the only anti-theft system designed speci cally for
caravans and trailers tted with electric brakes.
WiTi replaces the cables and plugs connecting a tow
vehicle and trailer with an advanced wireless interface
- a Wireless Towing Interface plugged into a 12 pin
socket on the tow vehicle and a Communication
Module in the camper trailer or caravan.
The Communication Module is used to wirelessly
transfer the lighting and braking signals from the
Wireless Towing Interface to the Anti-Theft Unit and
then on to the lights and brakes of the caravan or
trailer (provided the units are within 10 meters).
To tow the trailer or caravan when the tow vehicle is
not equipped with a 12 pin trailer socket, a temporary
towing extension cable is included. This plugs in to the
tow vehicle socket and a trailer socket mounted under
the front storage box.
For more detailed information about operating the
WiTi System see the “Operating Instructions” in the
Owners Satchel.
WiTi Wireless Trailer Plug Connection with built-in Anti-theft & GPS tracking (Optional)
IMPORTANT:
Before towing - perform a safety check of indicators, clearance/running lights, brake lights
and brake operation.
1. Plug the WiTi Wireless Towing
Interface into the 12 pin socket
on the tow vehicle.
2. Pair the Wireless Towing
Interface and Communcation
Module (see instructions next
pages).
3. For temporary towing - connect
the towing extension cable to
vehicle and trailer or caravan.
