This document describes the KitchenBro CM-100 Single Serve Coffee Brewer, a compact appliance designed for brewing coffee using either K-Cup® capsules or ground coffee.
Function Description:
The KitchenBro CM-100 is a single-serve coffee brewer that allows users to quickly prepare a cup of coffee. It supports two brewing methods: using K-Cup® capsules for convenience and using ground coffee for those who prefer their own blend. The appliance features a one-touch control system for ease of use. It is designed for household use and includes various safety features to prevent accidents.

Usage Features:
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, it is recommended to run a 14 Oz cycle of water through the brewer without coffee grounds or capsules to clean the system.
- Brewing with K-Cup® Capsules:
- Place the brewer on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface.
- Fill the water tank to the desired level (6oz to 8oz recommended for K-Cup®). Do not use any liquid other than water.
- Press the Brew Chamber Release Button to open the top cover.
- Insert a K-Cup® capsule into the Capsule Holder. Do not remove or puncture the foil top of the capsule beforehand.
- Close the top cover firmly. The K-Cup® capsule will be punctured on the top and bottom. The machine will not start if the cover is not closed properly.
- Place a mug on the Drip Tray beneath the Brew Spout.
- Push the Capsule Brew Button to start the brewing cycle. The button will light up during brewing.
- To stop brewing at any time, press any one button.
- After brewing, wait for the brewer to cool before removing the used capsule.
- Brewing with Coffee Grounds:
- Place the brewer on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface.
- Fill the water tank to the desired level (6oz to 14oz). Do not use any liquid other than water.
- Press the Brew Chamber Release Button to open the top cover.
- Place coffee grounds into the Brew Basket, ensuring not to fill above two-thirds.
- Close the top cover firmly.
- Place a mug on the Drip Tray beneath the Brew Spout.
- Push the Ground Coffee Brew Button to start the brewing cycle. The button will light up during brewing.
- To stop brewing at any time, press any one button.
- After brewing, wait for the brewer to cool before removing the used coffee grounds.
- Drip Tray: Ensure the mug remains in place at the end of the brew cycle to catch any excess drips.
- Automatic Shut-off: The brewer will automatically shut off when the brew cycle is complete, indicated by the function button no longer lighting.
- Hot Water Warning: The water in the K-Cup® Capsule Holder is extremely hot during brewing. Do not press the Brew Chamber Release Button or open the top cover during this process to avoid injury.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning:
- Turn off and unplug the brewer from the wall outlet.
- Regularly check and empty the Drip Tray for excess water or coffee. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
- Do not leave used coffee capsules in the Capsule Holder.
- Wipe down the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning pads.
- NEVER immerse the brewer, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid, and never place it under running water.
- Clean the Water Tank Filter, Drip Tray, Drip Tray Cover, K-Cup® Capsule Holder, and Brew Basket with warm, soapy water. Dry thoroughly before use. These parts can be placed on the top shelf of a dishwasher using low temperature cycles.
- Descaling:
- It is advised to descale the brewer regularly, typically every three months, depending on usage and local water conditions. Specific descaling products for coffee makers are available.
- To descale:
- Ensure the brewer is turned off.
- Fill the Water Tank with undiluted white vinegar or a descaling product according to its instructions.
- Place a large mug on the Drip Tray.
- Ensure no coffee capsule is in the Capsule Holder and close the top cover.
- Press both the Capsule Brew Button and the Ground Coffee Brew Button simultaneously to start the clean cycle. The machine will pump water until the tank is empty and then shut off.
- After allowing to sit, run another brew cycle without a coffee capsule. Empty the dispensed liquid (use extreme caution as contents may be hot).
- Fill the Water Tank with 8 ounces of distilled or bottled water and run a full brew cycle.
- Run three additional brew cycles using distilled or bottled water, each time without a coffee capsule, to clean the brewer and remove any residual taste.
- The brewer is then ready for regular use.
- Storing:
- Ensure all parts are clean and dry before storing.
- Store the appliance in its box in a clean, dry place. Do not store it while hot or wet.
- Do not wrap the cord tightly around the appliance; insert the line cord into the cord storage on the back of the coffee maker.
- Always store the brewer in an upright position, as a small amount of water may remain in the boiler.
Important Safeguards:
- Read all instructions before use.
- Do not touch hot surfaces.
- Do not immerse the cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquids.
- Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children.
- Unplug when not in use and before cleaning.
- Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance malfunctions.
- Do not use accessory attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then to the wall outlet.
- Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
- Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during brewing.
- Only use capsules intended for this appliance. Do not force capsules that do not fit.
- The appliance has two sharp needles for puncturing K-Cup® capsules; avoid putting fingers near the K-Cup® Capsule Assembly Housing.
- During initial use, some smoke or slight odor may occur, which is normal and will disappear.
- To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not remove the bottom cover. No user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done by authorized service personnel only.

Note: The fast heating coffee maker may produce a sizzling noise at the beginning and end of brewing, which is normal.
