Active DI Box with Midas Transformer,
Extended Dynamic Range and Phantom/Battery Operation
(EN) Controls
(1) PAD – switch incrementally reduces the INPUT gain sensitivity to handle unusually loud
input signals. The PAD switch oers gain reduction settings of 0 dB (guitar), 20 dB (line) or
40 dB (speaker).
(2) INPUT – connections accept balanced and unbalanced signals over cables with ¼" TRS, ¼"
TS or XLR plugs.
(3) THRU – output sends out a copy of the INPUT signal and accepts connections from cables
with ¼" TRS or ¼" TS plugs.
(4) POWER – switch turns the unit on and o.
(5) ON – LED lights up to indicate the following conditions:
• battery power active = LED blinks
• battery power o = LED o
• phantom power active = LED lights without blinking
(6) LIFT / EARTH – switch can be used to connect or disconnect the ground link between the
INPUT and OUTPUT jacks in order to reduce hum or prevent group loops. The LIFT / EARTH
switch’s ability to reduce hum or prevent ground loops depends on the grounding of
connected devices. When the switch is in the LIFT position, the ground connection between
INPUT and OUTPUT is disconnected.
(7) OUTPUT – XLR jack sends out a balanced version of the INPUT signal to your mixing board
or other processing device.
(8) BATTERY COMPARTMENT – contains the 9 V battery used to power the unit. Loosen the
screw to open the compartment and replace the battery.
NOTE: In the event that phantom power fails, the unit will automatically switch to battery power.

(1) ALMOHADILLA - El interruptor reduce gradualmente la sensibilidad de ganancia de
ENTRADA para manejar señales de entrada inusualmente altas. El interruptor PAD ofrece
ajustes de reducción de ganancia de 0 dB (guitarra), 20 dB (línea) o 40 dB (altavoz).
(2) ENTRADA - Las conexiones aceptan señales balanceadas y no balanceadas a través de
cables con clavijas ¼ "TRS, ¼" TS o XLR.
(3) A TRAVÉS DE - la salida envía una copia de la señal INPUT y acepta conexiones de cables con
enchufes de ¼ "TRS o ¼" TS.
(4) PODER - interruptor enciende y apaga la unidad.
(5) EN - El LED se enciende para indicar las siguientes condiciones:
• energía de la batería activa = LED parpadea
• batería apagada = LED apagado
• alimentación fantasma activa = LED se enciende sin parpadear
(6) ELEVACIÓN / TIERRA - El interruptor se puede utilizar para conectar o desconectar el enlace
de tierra entre las tomas INPUT y OUTPUT para reducir el zumbido o evitar bucles de grupo.
La capacidad del interruptor LIFT / EARTH para reducir el zumbido o evitar bucles de tierra
depende de la conexión a tierra de los dispositivos conectados. Cuando el interruptor está
en la posición ELEVACIÓN, la conexión a tierra entre ENTRADA y SALIDA se desconecta.
(7) SALIDA - El conector XLR envía una versión balanceada de la señal INPUT a su mesa de
mezclas u otro dispositivo de procesamiento.
(8) COMPARTIMIENTO DE LA BATERÍA- contiene la batería de 9 V que se utiliza para alimentar
la unidad. Aoje el tornillo para abrir el compartimiento y reemplace la batería.
NOTA: En caso de que falle la alimentación fantasma, la unidad cambiará automáticamente a
alimentación por batería.
