"Waste gate" valve control rod stroke adjustment
Important
This test must be done with the engine stationary.
Disconnectpipe7fromthecompressorside.
UsingaTcoupling,connectupwith a pressuregauge4 (scale
from zero to 2 bar) and with the compressed air mains pipe
completewithreductionunit5.
Themainsairpressuremustbe1.5÷2.0bar.
Make a hole B diameter 1.5 mm in the pressure gauge pipe
where part of the air will escape which has the purpose of
stabilizingthepressureinthepressuregauge.
Use the reduction unit 5 to send air to the actuator so as to
maketerminal2ofAmoveforward(A=1mm).
Positionacomparator6 so that thefeelerrestsontheterminal
2.
Thepressurereadonthepressuregaugemustbe830÷890mm
Hg(1.11÷1.19bar).
Ifthepressureislowerthanthegivenvalue,proceedasfollows:
- Unscrewthelocknut1.
- Removethesplitpin9 anddisconnecttherod8.
- Keepingthe rod stationary, screwthe terminal2toreachthe
settingpressure.
Whiletheterminalisrotatingtherodmustundergonotwisting.
