This document describes the KOIOS 5-in-1 Immersion Hand Blender Set, a versatile kitchen appliance designed for various food preparation tasks.
Function Description:
The KOIOS 5-in-1 Immersion Hand Blender Set is a multi-functional kitchen tool that combines several appliances into one compact unit. Its primary function is blending, but it also offers whisking, milk frothing, and chopping capabilities through its various attachments. The hand blender is ideal for making milkshakes, soups, steamed vegetables, frosting, baby food, and more. The whisk attachment is suitable for mixing cream, egg whites, cookie dough, and cake mixes. The milk frother is designed for creating froth for milk, coffee, and other beverages. The chopper attachment is perfect for processing hard foods such as meat, cheese, onion, herbs, garlic, carrots, walnuts, almonds, and prunes.
Important Technical Specifications:
- Rated Voltage: 110-120V (American standard)
- Rated Frequency: 60HZ
- Continuous Usage (MAX): 1 minute
Usage Features:
General Operation:
The hand blender features a motor body with a speed control dial, a power button, and a turbo button. Attachments are connected to the motor body and secured using release buttons. The speed control dial allows for adjusting the blending/whisking/frothing/chopping speed. The power button initiates operation, and releasing it stops the appliance. The turbo button provides maximum speed for tougher tasks. It is crucial not to operate the appliance for more than 1 minute at a time, especially for heavy or hard food, with a recommended 15-second break every 15 seconds of use.
Blending Attachment:
- Connect the blending attachment to the motor body.
- Plug the electrical cord into a power outlet.
- Insert the blending attachment into a container (e.g., the blending beaker or an alternative container), ensuring the blade does not touch the bottom.
- Turn the speed control knob to adjust the desired speed.
- Press and hold the power button to start blending; release to stop. Use the turbo button for maximum speed.
- Unplug immediately after use.
- To disassemble, press both release buttons simultaneously and pull out the blending attachment.
- Blending Tips: Use a gentle up-and-down motion for best results. Avoid scratching non-stick surfaces. Do not turn the blender ON until the blade is submerged in the mixture to prevent splashing. Do not pull the blending attachment out of the mixture while it is running. Avoid blending fruit pits, bones, or other hard materials that could damage the blades. For ice, use crushed ice instead of whole cubes. For compound butter, ensure butter is at room temperature before blending.
Whisk Attachment:
- Insert the whisk attachment into the whisk gearbox.
- Connect the whisk gearbox to the motor body.
- Plug the electrical cord into a power outlet.
- Place the whisk attachment into the prepared mixture.
- Turn the speed control knob to adjust the desired speed.
- Press the power button to start whisking; release to stop. Use the turbo button for maximum speed.
- Unplug immediately after use.
- To disassemble, press both release buttons simultaneously and pull out the gearbox.
- Whisking Tips: For egg whites, use a clean metal or glass bowl (plastic bowls can contain oils that ruin foam). Add sugar slowly when beating egg whites as peaks form. For heavy cream, use a chilled bowl and whisk attachment if possible. A deep bowl with a rounded bottom is best. Whip cream that has just come out of the refrigerator, skimming the surface initially, then whipping until it thickens, and finally immersing the whisk fully. Cream can be whipped to soft or firm peaks and flavored as desired.
Milk Frother:
- Insert the milk frother into the whisk gearbox.
- Connect the whisk gearbox to the motor body.
- Plug the electrical cord into a power outlet.
- Place the milk frother into the prepared milk/coffee.
- Turn the speed control knob to adjust the desired speed.
- Press the power button to start frothing; release to stop. Use the turbo button for maximum speed.
- Unplug immediately after use.
- To disassemble, press both release buttons simultaneously and pull out the gearbox.
- Frothing Tips: Use whole milk for perfect froth. Pour milk or mixture to about 1/4 of the container's capacity; too much or too little can hinder frothing. Refrigerating milk for about two days can prolong froth stability. Avoid touching the container bottom with the frother to prevent scratching and ensure optimal frothing.
Chopper Attachment:
- Pre-cut food and remove hard parts (stalks, shells, bones, tendons, gristle).
- Place the chopper bowl on a flat, stable, non-slippery surface.
- Place the chopper shaft onto the center pin in the bowl.
- Place food around the blade in the chopper bowl.
- Align the 3 pins on the chopper lid with the 3 matching slots on the chopper bowl and turn clockwise to lock it in place (listen for a "click").
- Insert the motor body into the chopper lid.
- Turn the speed control knob to adjust the desired speed.
- Hold the motor body with one hand and the chopper lid firmly with the other.
- Press the power button to start chopping; release to stop.
- Chopping Limitations: Do not use the chopper for extremely hard items like ice cubes, coffee beans, or nutmeg.
- Disassembly: Unplug immediately after use. To disassemble, hold the chopper lid with one hand and press both release buttons simultaneously to pull out the motor body. Remove the lid and carefully take the blade shaft out of the chopper bowl. Remove the chopped food.
